What is a Coach Home anyway? Lexington Green Sales Data, Schaumburg IL December 2007

I have a lot of buyers ask me "What is a coach home or a manor home anyway"?  It all started with Lexington Builders on the eastern edge of Schaumburg somewhere 30 years ago.  A 'Coach Home' is simply a different name for a "quad" or group of 4 homes put together.  In the coach home layout there are 2 homes on the 1st floor and 2 homes on the 2nd floor.  Then 2 of these groups of 4 are put together for a total of 8 and 'voila' the coach home!  Some other builders in the area also spun the name 'Manor Home' but it is the same concept. (Building Plan attached below for the truly curious).

Lexington Green is a large coach home community located off Meacham Road just south of Schaumburg Road on both the east & west sides of the street.  The community does offer a pool and clubhouse for the residents and exterior maintenance, snow removal, scavenger service and common area insurance is included in the monthly assessments.  A great golf driving range is located nearby along with the Fox Run Golf Course.  Close to Woodfield Mall, great restaurants and fast access to 355 North or South.

There are 4 models to choose from and could be either on the 1st (patios) or 2nd floors (balconies).  Each model has something unique to offer with "C" and "B" units having closet pantries and are middle units.  "A" and "D" units offer larger eat-in Kitchens and a formal Diningroom space.  A one car garage is included with each home.

C Units 2BR 1BA, Low price of $163,000 to the High Price of $194,500   13 total units closed

B Units 2BR 2BA, Low price of $171,000 to the High Price of $219,900   15 total units closed

D Units 2BR 2BA, Low price of $182,000 to the High Price of $216,000     14 total units closed

SCHAUMBURG ILLINOIS - #1 WITH RESIDENTS - A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!

Schaumburg IL

Recognized as the largest center of economic development in the State of Illinois (outside the City of Chicago), without question, Schaumburg is the "place for business."  More than 12.1 million sq feet of office space accommodating a number of corporate headquarters. Schaumburg also contains 13,250,000 sq ft of industrial space, occupying over 1,600 acres of land.  So what does that mean for you?  Lower taxes from the large tax base (Woodfield Mall also).  Sales tax revenue helps to fund all of the village's operating departments and funds services such as snow plowing, police and fire response.

Parks and Recreation - The Schaumburg Park District maintains more than 1,000 acres of landscaped parks including Spring Valley Nature Sanctuary, a prairie wild life preserve and an indoor and outdoor museum.  The Park District also operates four community recreation centers, including the Water Works Oasis, a spectacular indoor pool facility.  Golf courses, racquetball courts, summer boat rentals, and three outdoor swimming pools also are under the District's jurisdiction.

Prairie Arts Festival - An annual 2-day juried arts show and sale, featuring the work of more than 150 artists which is help during the Memorial Day Weekend.  Scaumburgfest is held on Labor Day weekend with fireworks, arts and crafts, carnival rides and parade.

Bike Paths - Schaumburg has an extensive system of 85 miles of bike paths, many extending through parks and connecting public & historic locations. Many of the paths are also connect to bike paths in adjacent towns.Schaumburg Regional Airport

Schaumburg Regional Airport - The Village purchased the airport in 1994. Individuals and corporations owning small airplanes may fly directly to Schaumburg and its 3,800 foot concrete runway.  The airport does not have scheduled passenger service, but is serviced by air taxi and charter operations.  The airport includes a new terminal building with restaurant (Pilot Pete's), additional tie-down space and new aircraft hangers.  A heliport is also located near the Woodfield Mall.

Metra Train Station - located on Springinsguth south of Irivng Park, offers 1,268 parking spots and runs the Milwaukee West Line into Chicago.

MERIBEL is a great townhome community located near the intersections of Barrington and Schaumburg Roads North of the Home Depot Center.  Meribel is comprised of 2-story styled townhomes each with a private entryway and one car garage.  Features and upgrades could include:  9 foot volume ceilings on 1st floor, hardwood floors, lofts, upgraded cabinetry, skylites, vaulted Master Bedroom.  ALL HOMES IN MERIBEL HAVE 2.5 BATHS.

There have only been 8 homes sold and closed for 2007.  Meribel has only 2 models for sale - Savoy Models are 2BR 2.5 Baths.  Normandy Models are always end units and are 2BR, Loft, 2.5 Baths.
