Historic Properties website lists homes by region for homes of historical significance. The states are not quite placed where you would think in the regions, so it's best to scan by state. Pictures and pricing are given of each home offered.
Historic House Specialists, Tradesman, Contractors and Consultants are also listed in this particular link. From claw foot tub specialists to kitchen appliance restorations, it's listed here.
Historic Homes in Illinois - This is a great site that give historical information on homes solely in Illinois some with pictorial tours.
Chicago's Oldest Home is the Greek-revival style 'Clarke House' built in 1836. Tours are still given of this 'pre-civil war' home. Yes, it's survived the great Chicago Fire!
