The Village of Schaumburg and School District 54 have once again partnered to celebrate Earth Day and will be co-hosting a 
community-wide recycling event.

10am - 3pm
School District 54 Parking Lot
524 E. Schaumburg Road

This is a great event and a great place to bring your unwanted items like:
Computer screens
TV's
Laptops
Computer CPU's
Printers
Cell Phones
Digital Recorders
Tape Recorders
It was very crowded last year but very orderly. You should have seen the pallets of stuff that was collected. See you there!

Team H: It's actually amazing the truck loads of things that were recycled. Better than the land fill!
Lyn - Our area will be celebrating Earth Day, but they won't have a recycling event like this, I wish they would.
Michelle: Last year they also had a recycling section with it for those that needed it. I really couldn't believe all the trailer trucks loaded with stuff. It was amazing.
The recycling event on April 24, 2010 proved to be the largest event ever hosted by the Village of Schaumburg and School District 54. Almost 950 cars passed through the event to utilize its services between 10am and 3pm. At the event, 63,173 pounds of electronics/plastics were rescued from reaching our landfills.
