homer simpson,I get Google Alerts for the different areas that I market in just to keep on top of things.  All things, good and bad.  This one made me laugh & then I thought, gosh, how pathetic is this.  Clicked on the link and it took me to a $700,000 house!  If I was the seller of that home I would be furious.  Cheap Homes For Sale - what a marketing genius this person is!  Better yet ..... why not make the minimum listing price at $500,000 just to be more ridiculous!

what were you thinking,

I think that trying to get the edge, this agent drove off the cliff with this website name.  A few possible others maybe?

Wrecks R Us
Gutters to Go
Better Homes & Gutters
Basements That Flood .com
Shacks in Shambles
Burn Me for the Insurance .com

Any other suggestions?

Lyn:

I say congratulations.  An award of any kind is a good thing.  So again congratulations, smile.

Lyn, I agree.  If I were the seller I'd be really upset.  Is this the best the agent could come up with.  Wonder where else it's posted or advertised.

If I were the seller I would be asking " I thought you were working FOR me". Unbelievable. LOL!

Based on the url ending I would bet this site is scraping information and it isn't an actual agents website.  However I would still be PO'd as a seller to see my home on a site by that name.

Jennifer:  That's so true.  I'm not sure if it was a feed from another site as I've never heard of it.  It's even worse if the agent INPUT their house.

Josee:  Wonder what other 'great ideas' they've come up with.

Cheap homes not!

Marketing is always something you should do carefully but bad advertising is as common as good. If you want a laugh check out the Craiglist ads for contractors. Some of these guys should be on the Dave Letterman show.

It would be interesting to go through the list of companies in our mls and rate the names, at least the unusual, for the WWYT award.

With that name, I would have expected a FSBO company not a Realtor!

Paul:  Haven't seen anything funny on CL lately, I'll check it out.

Bliz:  Best I could think of. D'oh.

Janice: Good point but I'm afraid not. I also like the Cheap Virtual Tour reference. Says class huh?

Pity the poor seller....and they thought they had hired a professional!

Lyn:  Sounds like this agent registered in the Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears' School of Marketing ... "any press is good press"!  Just because you CAN get a license to sell real estate or write loans .. doesn't mean you should be doing so.  Absolutely perfect example!
