Chefs prefer the $38,000 stove?

The Chicago Tribune did an article in the magazine section that talked about the preferences/craves that chefs have for their kitchens. Jared Wentworth, master chef, said he wanted a La Cornue Chateau Series Oven which I had never heard of before. The company is located outside Paris France and has been making stoves since 1908 and has a distributor here in California.
I decided to Google it and here's the non-budget conscious results:
A few different models but the ovens start at $38,000 and go down to $17,500 for the penny pinching model.
Shouldn't a $38,000 stove come with a horn & windshield wipers? How many miles per gallon on that thing?

Shouldn't a $38,000 stove come with the CHEF?
Hi Lyn~ Wow! You can do a whole kitchen for less than that! A high end stove is not on my priority list. Heck, its not even on my list!
Jim: Definately LOL.
Vickie: Not even on my list. People always ask me when they come into my house if I use the Kitchen. I tell them I don't know where it even is.
Does it make the food taste any better??
A $38,000 stove (would it still be called a stove?) should come with a full-time chef...so I'm happy to hear that chefs love it.
Chris Ann: I can't imagine actually spending that kind of money for a stove that doesn't cook by itself.
Carla: If someone ELSE cooks, the food always tastes better I always say. I'm sure the food is better, the aroma is $38,000 better - just better all the way around!
Lyn, It does make a statement... even if its "what the hell was I thinking"!
We have family members with one of those monsters... it's too cool for words.
Virginia: Do they use it? They should sell tickets to look at so they can recoup the cost!
Ellen: I wouldn't let anyone touch it or use it so why bother then? I would still prefer the little red sports car!
Lyn, as promised, I'm here to critique your picture!!! No! No! No! Just kidding. The picture is lots of fun. And, youre so right, a stove for that kind of money should cook by itself!
It's hard to understand why someone would want to spend that much on a stove that looks like a coffin.
LOL, Lyn...I had a friend who worked for that company in Paris. When I visited her there (around 5 years ago), sales were brisk. I wonder if they're having the same momentum these days.
David: Wow, I guess it is a great status symbol & I wonder if they are still doing the same business. But, if you can buy this stove you don't have any money concerns do you?
Mike: A blue enamel coffin with real chrome.
Craig: Thanks for stopping by to critique my 'head'.
