Move Along, There's Nothing To See Here!

Staging advice .... Presenting your home in a positive light .... You only have 10 seconds to make a good first impression.  We've all heard these phrases if we are looking to sell our home currently.  This is an important feature of presenting your home to buyers.  This is really good advice from the buyers perspective Think on how buyers shop?  One, 2, 3, click and they are gone if they don't like what they see.

Great advice from Liz & Bill Spears near Cincinnatti, OH.

Move Along, There's Nothing To See Here!

Click.....Click.....Click....scroll........NEXT!!

That's how your typical buyer is now shopping for their home.  They're most likely NOT driving around the neighborhoods (although some do) looking for signs in the yard (you DO have a sign up just in case, right?).  And who knows what web site they'll be using to search?  Could be Realtor.com, Remax.com, Trulia, Zillow, any local brokerage and dozens of other real estate related sites, or from the websites of any of thousands of agents that serve our area.

But there are a couple of things that will have that buyer moving along, and that's when there's nothing to see!

No pictures?  Honestly, you might as well not be trying to sell your home at all.

Another SOLD listing by The Liz Spear Team of RE/MAX EliteHumans are VERY visually driven, and they're looking for visual eye candy all the time!  Pictures that catch the eye, that tell them what style of home you're offering to them.  Let's face it, there are hundreds and thousands of 3 and 4 bedroom homes available in our market, so looks matter.

The pictures either draw them in, or have them clicking to the next listing that matched their search.Another SOLD listing by The Liz Spear Team of RE/MAX Elite

Time and again we've had our buyers tell us that if there are NO pictures, or LOUSY pictures, they're skipping that home and moving along.  What's wrong with that house that they're not showing pictures?  So it's obviously critical to hire a REALTOR® that understands the importance of visual appeal when marketing your home.  Don't settle for an agent that will have the buyers saying "Move along, there's nothing to see here!".

Lyn, Thanks for the reblog!  We know buyers have short attention spans.  There's too much inventory for them to waste time on homes that don't immediately appeal to them.

This says it all...good post, and appreciated the reblog (missed it first time around).

There are days I feel like asking the state law makers to take a way licenses from agents that are not showing properties.  Thanks for this post.

Lyn: Great post!

We live in a visual and fast track world. The internet is a perpetual open-house, that means real estate agents and sellers most be dilligent to show the best selling points of a property.

If only one picture or no picture at all, many buyers may think, " I wonder what is wrong with this one, I'm not going to waste my time" Not a good place to be when selling!

Have a wonderful day!

Ines:  That is one of the greatest statements about the internet.  All our listings are 'open' on the internet 24/7.  Thanks.

Joe:  Some agents just don't get it & never will.

StoS:  I couldn't have said it better myself.

BLiz:  Your welcome, great writing.

I’m so far behind in returning comments but I don’t want to give up.
So I’m visiting as many blog posts as I can today
to spread some Tuesday cheer.
That means I probably didn’t read this post,
which is not going to prevent me from leaving some Tuesday cheer.
Feel free to delete this comment if I failed in leaving a little cheer here.

Happy Tuesday!
